The first man is of the earth-has his origin, such as he is (God having breathed into his nostrils a spirit or breath of life), from the earth. Therefore he is of the dust, even as God said, “Dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” The last Adam, though He was as truly man as the first, is from heaven.  The new order of humanity brought in by Christ in resurrection is: Vs. 47 – heavenly in origin. Vs. 48 – heavenly in character. Vs. 49 – heavenly in destiny. (9) Failure to Maintain Sound Doctrine by B. Anstey)
He is not only “last Adam,” but also “the second Man.” This latter expression shows that between Adam and Christ no man is counted. Cain was not the second man. He was only Adam reproduced in the first generation. So were all men—only Adam reproduced in their various generations. But when Christ was born, He was not Adam reproduced. By the “virgin birth,” under the action of the Holy Ghost, the entail was broken, a new and original Man appeared worthy of being called “the second Man.” (1 Corinthians 15 by F.B. Hole)

J. N. Darby Translation

+
47
the first man out of the earth, made of dust; the second man, out of heaven.

W. Kelly Translation

+
47
the first man out of the earth made of dust, the second mana out of heavenb:

WK Translation Notes

+
a
T. R. adds "the Lord."
b
I judge "out of heaven" to be more characteristic than relative to any "descent" from heaven, but that character to be drawn from the place He came from; origin is universally used as characteristic.
