(gift of God). A chamberlain of King Ahasuerus (Esther 1:10¹⁰On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king, (Esther 1:10)). Bigthan (Esther 2: 21); Bigthana (Esther 6:2²And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. (Esther 6:2)).

One of the two servants of Ahasuerus who “kept the door,” and conspired against his life.
