Wherefore laying aside. . . all evil speakings. . . desire the sincere milk of the word.

The last enemy that not only destroys others but our own enjoyment of the Lord is evil speaking -character assassination - putting others in a bad light so that people think more of us than them. Let our tongues speak words that would edify and build up. We need to make it a special matter of prayer that the Lord would control our thoughts and our tongues so that we act, think and speak as the Lord did.
