God Gave Me Two Eyes That I Might See

GOD gave me two eyes that I might see
Wonderful things in His word for me;
That I might there great things behold,
Find riches and treasures worth more than gold.
God gave me two ears that I might hear
His words of comfort, of rest and cheer;
That I might always hear Him say,
I am The Truth, The Life, The Way.
God gave me two feet that I might walk
The narrow path however dark;
That I might tread the path He trod,
The narrow way to the throne of God.
God gave me two hands that I might yield
My labors to Him in the gospel field;
That I might work, with a willing mind,
To spread the glad tidings to all mankind.
God gave me a tongue to speak His truth,
To tell of His love in age and youth,
To tell of the One who came to save,
Who conquered the power of death and the grave.
God gave me a heart with which to love
The Saviour who came from the throne above,
And day by day I would love Him more,
Till I meet Him on heaven's eternal shore.
Then take them Lord Jesus, and let them be
Willingly given each day to Thee,
And when in the glory I bow at Thy feet,
I shall give Thee the honor, the glory that's meet.
