According to the U.S. DOT, “Text messaging while driving creates a crash risk 23 times higher than driving while not distracted.” Daydreaming, texting, reading and eating while driving could send us into eternity. Speaking of eternity, are you ready for it? Texters glance at the road occasionally. That’s not enough. Do you get a bit of religion or consider yourself a good person or at least not too bad? That’s not enough. Fix your mind and heart on these words: “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 16:25). Now give this message your full attention: “By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Are you ready for eternity?
