I truly appreciate your energetic service to me. Hopefully you’ll get a well deserved rest. We both need a different kind of rest as well. Jesus said, “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” We have an inner unrest caused by our disobedience to God, which He calls sin. “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” What’s worse, we’re told that “after this the judgment” for sin must be faced.
However, Jesus spent His energy to show out His love. Then He gave His life and blood on the cross “to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.” Only through Jesus Christ can we find true rest. Why not “acquaint now thyself with Him, and be at peace”?
