Jeremiah 31

30. Note, whatever the inworking of grace, and however complete the forgiveness, the state of Israel in the millennium is one of strict law, only direct and personal.

33, 34. I compare these verses, and verses 29, 30, with Isaiah 60:21²¹Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. (Isaiah 60:21), and chapter 65: 19, 20. Only here dying is for his sin—judgment in this world. This would seem to be SO in Isa. 65:20²⁰There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. (Isaiah 65:20).
