‘Tis sweet to know we have a Friend
Whose love can ne’er decay,
Whose faithfulness can know no end,
Or ever pass away.
Whose sympathy quells every fear.
Bids every sorrow cease,
Dries up each bitter flowing tear.
And fills the soul with peace.
Jesus the true, the faithful Friend,
No change can ever know:
He loves and loves unto the end
Who trusts His Name below.
