Mediator, Priest, Advocate

Jesus Christ is the Mediator between God and the unconverted.

“There is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Tim. 2:5⁵For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1 Timothy 2:5)).

He is the High Priest before God to maintain His people in their position before Him, for without His intercession none of His saints could stand an hour.

“Christ being come an High Priest of good things to come... by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” (Heb. 9:11-12¹¹But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; ¹²Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. (Hebrews 9:11‑12)).

He is the Advocate with the Father to restore the child who has sinned.

“If any man sin we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1 John 2:1¹My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: (1 John 2:1)).
