18. Paschal Lamb, by God Appointed

8,7.
by J. Bakewell, 1757
1
Paschal Lamb, by God appointed,

All our sins were on Thee laid;

By Almighty love anointed,

Thou hast full atonement made.

All Thy people are forgiven

Through the virtue of Thy blood;

Opened is the gate of heaven,

Peace is made for us with God.
Isaiah 53:6; Romans 5:11; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14; Colossians 1:20
2
Jesus, hail! enthroned in glory,

There forever to abide;

All the heavenly hosts adore Thee,

Seated at Thy Father's side;

Worship, honor, power and blessing,

Thou art worthy to receive;

Loudest praises, without ceasing,

Meet it is for us to give.
Hebrews 1:8; Ephesians 1:20
