If you are a believer on the Lord Jesus Christ, you are saved forever. Yes, it's true— SAVED FOREVER! God says so in His word.
You have ETERNAL life now and can never lose it. Please open your Bible and read the following verses very carefully:
John 5:24
24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24)
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
1 John 5:13
13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13)
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life... "
This does not mean that you, as a believer, will not ever sin again. But it does mean that you can never be lost again. Believers still have the old sinful nature within that remains unchanged and can sin if allowed to act.
When you were truly "born again" by the Spirit of God, you received an entirely NEW NATURE THE VERY NATURE OF GOD HIMSELF This nature cannot sin, just as Christ could not sin because He was HOLY. Please read
2 Peter 1:4
4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4)
and
1 John 3:5-10
5
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. (1 John 3:5‑10)
.
When a child is born naturally into this world, it has the same life as its parents. So it is with our spiritual birth, we receive the very life and nature of God, our spiritual Father. What happens then if we are disobedient? No normal parent would disown its child because of an act of disobedience. Rather, the parent corrects the child in love. It is the same in God's family. He knows how to discipline His own children and train them to be more obedient. Please read
Heb. 12:5-13
5
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
12
Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13
And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. (Hebrews 12:5‑13)
.
The blood of Jesus Christ shed on Calvary's cross has fully satisfied all God's requirements about the sins of those who believe in Jesus. (Read
1 John 1:7
7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
) Christ died for them once for all. All the believer's sins were future when Jesus suffered for them on the cross; but God knew them all and laid them on Him then. (Read
1 Peter 2:24
24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. (1 Peter 2:24)
and
Isa. 53:6
6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6)
).
If you are a real believer and have been disobedient in some thing, you will have a bad conscience about it. To clear your conscience, it is necessary to confess this sin to God when you are alone with Him in prayer. Tell Him that you did it and why you did it. Be specific!
That's what confession means. Tell Him you're sorry about it and desire to avoid doing it again. Every sin confessed in this way is immediately forgiven! Listen to these wonderful words: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (
1 John 1:9
9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
)
God will never change His mind about you or disown you. You have been bought with the precious blood of Christ. You are too valuable to Him to be lost! Here are words of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself that were written for your joy: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand." (
John 10:27-29
27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. (John 10:27‑29)
)
If this tract, which was primarily intended for believers, is now being read by someone who has not yet obeyed the gospel by accepting Christ, please remember that there is no security for you. You are LOST! However, you can be saved if you want to be. Christ died for you. Call upon Him now in prayer and He will save you at once. "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
(
Rom. 10:13
13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
) Salvation is not just getting a new religion or changing your behavior habits. It is receiving a NEW LIFE from God.
He will give you a new nature capable of pleasing Him with new desires and new hopes. Please read these verses from the Bible:
Rom. 3:23
23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)
;
John 3:16
16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
;
Rom. 10:9
9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9)
;
Eph. 2:8
8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (Ephesians 2:8)
&9;
1 Cor. 15:3
3
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (1 Corinthians 15:3)
&4. Now read this tract over again. And again.
