A wise man fears, and departs from evil; but the fool rages and is self-confident.
Godly wisdom will help us to be careful and cautious before we step forward. If something comes into our life that is not of God, we can anticipate the result and avoid it. But someone who does not put God foremost in their life goes on in self-confidence, not confidence in God, and falls into all kinds of trouble. Jesus said for us to be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves. We need to ask for godly wisdom each day of our life.
