147. To Him That Loved Us, Gave Himself

C.M.D.
by J. Mason
1
To Him that loved us, gave Himself,

And died to do us good,

Has washed us from our scarlet sins

In His most precious blood;

Who made us kings and priests to God

His Father infinite:

To Him eternal glory be,

And everlasting might!
2
Through Him to God — the God most high —

Praise for all grace be given;

Whose gifts through all eternity

We’ll gladly sing in heaven;

His Christ has loved us, given Himself,

And died to do us good,

Has washed us from our scarlet sins

In His own precious blood.
