Worship, and thanks, and blessing,

And strength ascribe to Jesus!

The Lord alone defends His own,

When earth or hell oppresses.

Omnipotent Redeemer!

Our ransomed souls adore Thee;

Our Saviour Thou, we own it now,

And give to Thee the glory.
Revelation 5:12-13; Psalm 89:18; Isaiah 47:4; 1 John 4:14
2
Thine arm hath safely brought us

A way no more expected

Than when Thy sheep passed through the deep

By crystal walls protected.

We sing Thine arm unshortened,

Brought through each sore temptation;

With heart and voice, in Thee rejoice,

Thou God of our salvation.
Isaiah 42:16; Exodus 14:22; Isaiah 59:1; 2 Peter 2:9; 1 Corinthians 10:13; Philippians 4:4; Habakkuk 3:18
3
Thy glory is our rear-ward,

Thy hand our lives doth cover;

And we, e'en we, have passed the sea,

And marched triumphant over:

We own Thy great deliverance,

And triumph in Thy favor;

And for the love which now we prove,

Shall praise Thy name forever.
Isaiah 58:8; Exodus 33:22; John 10:28-29; Colossians 1:13; 2 Corinthians 2:14; Malachi 3:10; Psalm 146:2;
