Divine Love
“We will be glad and rejoice in Thee, we will remember Thy love more than wine: the upright love Thee”
(Song of Solomon 1:4).
Divine love has provided a Saviour in God’s Son:
“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him” (1 John 4:9).
Divine love loves, even when there is nothing good in the object:
“God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
Divine love never ceases to love:
“Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3).
Divine love is consistent even when there is no response from the object:
“I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast Thou loved us?” (Malachi 1:2).
What will your response be to that great love today? If we really enter into His love, there cannot help but be an overflow of worship, praise and thanksgiving.
