Listen from:
Matthew 20:8. So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the laborers, and give them their hire.
This was according to the Mosaic law, which sought thus to protect the poor laborer from any employer who might wish to keep back his hire.
“The wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning” (Lev. 19:13). “Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates: at his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it” (Deut. 24:14-15).
