Luke 4:17. There was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written.

Each of the prophetical books is supposed to have been in a separate volume, with the exception of the prophecies of the twelve minor prophets, which were perhaps bound together.
