Luke 19:13¹³And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. (Luke 19:13). He called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds.

The mina, or “pound,” was not a coin, but a sum of silver reckoned by weight, and was worth £3 15s. 6d. sterling, or about $19.
