This thought has often come to me: ―
If I write my letters and address them correctly, stamp and post them, they are sure to arrive at their destination, because all the power of Government is behind it. So in like manner, if my prayers are offered in the name of the Lord Jesus, are in sins with the will of God and for His Glory they are sure to be answered because all the power of the Godhead is enlisted on their behalf. See John 14:14; 1 John 5:14-15; Ephesians 3:20, 21; Zechariah 4, 6:10. And Asa cried unto the Lord and said “O Lord, it is nothing with thee to help either with many or with them that have no power. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on Thee, and in Thy Name we go against this ‘multitude, O Lord. Thou art our God; let not man prevail against Thee.” So the Lord smote the Ethiopians before Asa. — 2 Chron. 14:11.
