Abraham . . . the friend of God.

The New Testament often brings out some details of the lives of Old Testament characters that we don’t get from reading the Old Testament account. Here in James we find that Abraham was considered God’s friend. Abraham often talked with God and was always obedient to Him when he was told to do something. He spoke with God “face to face.” What a privilege to be considered the friend of God and to be able to talk to Him as a friend, face to face.
