I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of His wrath.
No one felt affliction like Jesus did. Even though He was the Son of God, He left heaven, became a man and gave His life on the cross of Calvary. There He felt the unrestrained wrath of God when He was punished for our sins. And because the Lord bore the wrath of a holy, sin-hating God, those of us who have believed in Him will never have to feel it. All we will feel will be the kindness and love of God. Let us spend a few moments today remembering the One who saw affliction by the rod of God’s wrath.
