“Alive for evermore!”
Hark to the Victor’s cry!
The Lamb once slain, now lives again,
Yea lives — no more to die.
“Alive for evermore!”
The “path of life” He trod
Through death’s domain, and lives again!
He liveth “unto God.”
“Alive for evermore!”
The King of Terrors spoiled.
The strong yields sweet, the eater meat;
Satan himself is foiled.
“Alive for evermore!”
Ye saints take up the cry:
For you He lives, and life He gives,
So ye shall never die.
“Alive for evermore!”
Nor fear we Satan’s power:
Let all assail, none can prevail;
His risen life is ours.
“Alive for evermore!”
God’s grace we would record;
That victory is ours, we see,
“THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.”
