) to have an altar now (the cross) in which none others have a part. It need scarcely be added, that the application of this word to the “communion table” is utterly unwarranted in Scripture, and conveys an idea that the sacrifice of Christ is not finished, once and forever. The altar in Revelation is the golden altar, and is, of course, a figure.
