One of the two which heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew.
Andrew was Peter’s brother. He followed Jesus first and then went and brought Peter to the Lord. Andrew was the disciple who borrowed a small boy’s lunch and gave it to Jesus, who then multiplied it into enough to feed thousands of people. Andrew was first a disciple of John the Baptist. But when John said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” Andrew immediately left John and became one of the Lord’s disciples. History records that Andrew served the Lord in Scythia, Greece and Asia Minor, and that he died a martyr on a cross in Achaia.
