“We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts; what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall he spoken for?”— Song of Solomon 8:8.
THE more we enjoy of Christ ourselves, the more we will be concerned about underprivileged ones all about us, and in the regions beyond, who should know of the same blessed Saviour who means so much to us. Oh, these little sisters of ours, and brothers too, who are still sitting in darkness, waiting for the light to reach them! How can we be indifferent to their need? Our Lord has bidden us carry the glad gospel story into all the world, that millions more may share with us the joy of knowing that love which is beyond all telling. These lost sheep in the wilderness need to be sought after and brought to the Good Shepherd who died for them as well as for us.
“Have ye looked for sheep in the desert,
For those who have missed their way?
Have ye been in the wild waste places,
Where the lost and wandering stray?
Have ye trodden the lonely highway,
The foul and the darksome street?
It may be ye’d see in the gloaming
The print of My wounded feet.”
