Why? What brought this situation to the psalm writer? He was looking at the prosperity and success of the world and comparing it to the apparent lack of success and poverty of the righteous. But when he got into God’s presence and thought about everything in relation to eternity, he realized that wealth and success in this life but an eternity in hell were nothing to be jealous about after all. Then he found peace.
