These words have been haunting the writer as he pens these lines. Christendom has disregarded these words to its immense loss. Men are placed in religious positions by men. Spirit, dividing to every man severally AS HE WILL." (Cor. 12: 11.) Here it is what God does, not man. The Spirit gives to one the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge, to another faith, to another miraculous gifts, to another prophecy, to another the gift of tongues. " AS HE WILL " covers all this. It is the assertion of sovereignty, an essential attribute only predicated of Deity.
