On an afternoon visit to a dear Christian man, I spoke of the love of the Father to him as His child. His face lit up with joy and he began to speak in rapturous tones of the Father's love.
"Some people tell me," he said, "that I talk too much. Then I tell them they are all dumb. Enjoy the Father's love and not speak about it? Why, I can't help it. They just don't know the Father's love, that's all.
"The doctor came in to see me one day, and he said to me, 'You are very much alone.'
"'Alone, doctor?' I said; 'Why, there are four of us here: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost, and poor me. Isn't it grand?'”
The dear man's eyes filled with tears as he thus spoke to me; and he struck his hand on his breast, realizing deep down in his heart the preciousness of the Father's love.
"If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him." John 14:2323Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (John 14:23).
Dear one out of Christ, do you not long to know this wondrous love—the love of God the Father for His own dear child? The way is open before you, and His heart is ever open to you. Jesus is the Way, and He invites you to come to God by faith in Him. He says, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." John 19:66When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. (John 19:6).
