The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.
Psalm 34:18
The term “broken heart” is referring to someone who is totally repentant because of some sin in their life, and they have come back, in humility, to the Lord. And the Lord received them. You see, God is a God who forgives and then doesn’t remind us of it again. He loves to heal. But He’ll only do it if we are truly repentant. Another verse in Psalm 51:17 says, “A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” Never for one moment believe that you are too bad to come to God. He will receive you if you come to Him in humility, not trusting in yourself.
