The latticed opening of the Kiosk, or mummer house, of the East (Prov. 7:6⁶For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, (Proverbs 7:6); Song of Sol. 2:9⁹My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, showing himself through the lattice. (Song of Solomon 2:9); Judg. 5:28²⁸The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots? (Judges 5:28)).
