Choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life . . .
What a sad end to what could have been a very productive life. Some hear the gospel and perhaps are really moved in their heart to believe. Then they meet with the usual routine (which doesn’t change when you become a Christian) and the daily cares, riches, and pleasures of this life choke any indications of new life and they produce no fruit for God. Don’t let the cares, riches, and pleasures of this life come between you and the Lord. You may end up being choked to death.
