Chosen . . . in Him before the foundation of the world.
We were not an afterthought with God. He chose us a long time ago. No one knows for sure when the foundations of the world were actually laid. It doesn’t really matter when. We do know they were laid by God. What does matter is that even before that God had us in mind and we were already chosen to belong to Him. Neat, eh?
