You, being dead in your sins … hath He quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross. (Col. 2:13‑14)

The law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. (Gal. 3:12‑13)

Free from the law, oh, happy condition! Jesus has bled, and there is remission! Cursed by the law, and bruised by the fall, Grace has redeemed us once for all.

“Children of God!” Oh, glorious calling! Surely His grace will keep us from falling; Passing from death to life at His call, Blessed salvation once for all.

What will it profit, when life here is o’er,    Though gathering riches and fame, If, gaining the world, I lose my own soul,    And in heaven unknown is my name?

What will it profit? My soul, stop and think!    What balance that day will declare: Life’s record laid bare and “gain” turn to loss,    Eternally left to despair.

Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt. (Heb. 11:26)

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things. (Phil. 3:8)

The Lord is able to give thee much more than this. (2 Chron. 25:9)

What is loss in this world when compared to that       day,    To the glory that then shall from heaven be       revealed? “The Savior is coming,” His people may say;    “The Lord whom we look for, our Sun and our       Shield.”

What a day will that be when the Savior appears!    How welcome to those who have shared in His       cross! A crown incorruptible then will be theirs,    A rich compensation for suffering and loss.
