My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life. (Prov. 6:20‑23)

That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all His statutes … and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life. (Deut. 6:2)

Take Thou our hearts, and let them be    Forever closed to all but Thee; Thy willing servants, let us wear    The seal of love forever there.

How blest are they who still abide,    Close sheltered by Thy watchful side; Who life and strength from Thee receive,    And with Thee move, and in Thee live.
