To Him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear His voice: and He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. (John 10:3)
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. (John 10:27)
There, where the Shepherd goes before,
   The sheep must follow on:
How green, how fresh the pastures fair
   Where Christ the Lord is gone!
His joy fulfilled in us who tread
   That land His love has given;
We followed where His footsteps led,
   And found ourselves in heaven.

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. (Psa. 27:7)
He will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when He shall hear it, He will answer thee. (Isa. 30:19)
Is God? Has God? Does God?
Man’s Why? And How?
In ceaseless iteration storm the sky;
I am; I will; I do; sure Word of God,
Yea and Amen, Christ answereth each cry;
To all our anguished questionings and doubts
Eternal affirmation and reply.

Fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. (Acts 19:17)
Jesus! how much Thy name unfolds
   To every opened ear;
The pardoned sinner’s memory holds
   None other half so dear.
Jesus! Oh name divinely sweet!
   How soothing is the sound!
What joyful news, what heavenly power
   In that blest name is found.

The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary. (Isa. 50:4)
A word spoken in due season, how good is it! (Prov. 15:23)
A little word in kindness spoken,
   A motion or a tear,
Has often healed the heart that’s broken,
   And made a friend sincere.
Then deem it not an idle thing,
   A pleasant word to speak;
The face you wear, the thoughts you bring,
   A heart may heal or break.

Wait His coming; live unto Him;

The Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. (Col. 2:19)
“One spirit with the Lord”:
   Oh blessed, wondrous word!
What heavenly light, what power divine,
   Does that sweet word afford!
“One spirit with the Lord”;
   Jesus, the glorified,
Esteems the church for which He bled,
   His body and His bride.

Of blessed vision and eternal song.
To Thee my heart as incense shall arise;
Consumed upon Thine altar all my will;
Love, praise and peace, an evening sacrifice,
And in the Lord I rest, and I am still.

He shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. (Lev. 1:4)
Not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (Rom. 5:11)
Jesus the Christ, on earth His name,
   He came — in love to sinners came —
And bowed His head and died;
   A full atonement now is made,
The ransom, by His death, is paid,
   And justice satisfied.
