They shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and He shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and He shall deliver them. (Isa. 19:20)

I am the Lord thy God … for there is no saviour beside Me. (Hos. 13:4)

Of this man’s seed hath God, according to His promise, raised … a Saviour, Jesus. (Acts 13:23)

Oh! what a Saviour is Jesus the Lord; Well might His name by His saints be adored! He has redeemed them from hell by His blood, Saved them forever, and brought them to God.

Forbid it, Lord, that we should boast, Save in the death of Christ, our God; All the vain things that charm us most, We’d sacrifice them to His blood.

Were the whole realm of nature ours, That were an offering far too small; Love that transcends our highest powers, Demands our soul, our life, our all.
