I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for Thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. (Psa. 4:8)

Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. (Psa. 121:4)

There my spirit cannot question,    Little do I think or say; All the thorns of life around me    Cannot take my peace away — There my spirit knows no darkness;    Love remains when all is gone — Peace — that earth can never give me —    From the heart of God alone — Resting in Christ’s blessed light,    Fear I not the earthly night.
