Hush! Oh, hush! for the Father,    Whose ways are true and just, Knoweth and careth and loveth,    And waits for your perfect trust; The cup He is slowly filling    Shall soon be full to the brim, And infinite compensations    Forever be found in Him.

A ruler once came to Jesus by night To ask Him the way of salvation and light; The Master made answer in words true and          plain:       “Ye must be born again!”

Oh ye who would enter this glorious rest, And sing with the ransomed the song of          the blest, The life everlasting if ye would obtain,       “Ye must be born again!”

O God! what cords of love are Thine,    How gentle, yet how strong! Thy truth and grace their strength       combine    To draw our souls along.

Love brings the glorious fullness in,    And to the lost makes known Salvation from the power of sin,    Through faith in Christ alone.
