The priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God. (2 Chron. 5:14)

There was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son: hear Him. (Mark 9:7)

While they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. (Acts 1:9)

Grateful incense this, ascending    Ever to the Father’s throne: Every knee to Jesus bending,    All the mind in heaven is one.

Sweetest rest and peace have filled us,    Sweeter praise than tongue can tell; God is satisfied with Jesus;    We are satisfied as well.

I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning. When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. (Psa. 73:3,14,16‑17)

Silence! reasonings hard and keen;    Still — oh longings sad and deep — Waken to the morn serene;    Tangled dreams depart with sleep; In the depth of silence rest; Let Him work His high behest.

In the quiet of that dawn    God shall speak His words of grace; Light that round your waking shone    Is the radiance of His face; Yearning of His heart to thee, Fills the deep immensity.

Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us. (Luke 9:50)

He that is not with Me is against Me; and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth abroad. (Matt. 12:30)

If He … gather together, then who can hinder Him? (Job 11:10)

And God is undisturbed by all this chaos; His purposes He’s working just the same; And in this day of ruin and declension, He’s gathering lost ones to trust His name.

As He looks down on all the vast profession, He knows each heart, that truly loves His    Son, And in His sight, they precious are, and    spotless, Because they trust in God’s beloved One.

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matt. 18:1‑4)

Tell me the story slowly,    That I may take it in — That wonderful redemption,    God’s remedy for sin.

Tell me the story simply,    As to a little child, For I am weak and weary,    And helpless and defiled.

The cup which My Father hath given Me, shall I not drink it? (John 18:11)

Hark! what sounds of bitter weeping    From yon lonesome garden sweep; ’Tis the Lord His vigil keeping,    Whilst His followers sink in sleep.

He is speaking to His Father,    Tasting deep that bitter cup, Yet He takes it, willing rather    For our sakes to drink it up.

Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. The children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. (Ex. 14:21,29)
