There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men: a man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honor, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul. (Eccl. 6:1‑2)

Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world. (Psa. 73:12)

Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (Matt. 11:29)

No room for Thee in busy marts;    Thy pure and gentle face Would shame the hard and selfish hearts    That run the worldly race.

No room for Him whose sacrifice    Can put thy guilt away? O doubting soul, arise, arise;    Receive the Christ today!

There shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him: and they shall see His face. (Rev. 22:3‑4)

This is the Lord; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. (Isa. 25:9)

There is a wondrous city, beautiful, bright and fair; The throne of God is in it and the glory of God is    there; And oh, the joy of knowing, as the Lord’s redeemed    can know, While through the tribulations of this earthly life    they go, There shall be no more toiling; there shall be no    more curse; There shall be no more crying, hunger, fears or    thirst; There shall be no more burdens, grievous and hard    to bear; There shall be no more heartache, through the    eternal years!

Then let us, brethren, while on earth,    With foes and strangers mixed, Be mindful of our heavenly birth,    Our thoughts on glory fixed.

That we should glorify Him here    Our Father’s purpose is: Whene’er the Saviour shall appear,    He’ll fully own us His.
