These are Thy servants and Thy people, whom Thou hast redeemed by Thy great power, and by Thy strong hand. O Lord, I beseech Thee, let now Thine ear be attentive to the prayer of Thy servant, and to the prayer of Thy servants, who desire to fear Thy name: and prosper, I pray Thee, Thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. (Neh. 1:10‑11)
He everywhere has sway,
   And all things serve His might;
His every act pure blessing is,
   His path unsullied light.
When He makes bare His arm,
   Who shall His work withstand?
When He His people’s cause defends,
   Who then shall stay His hand?

If the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the doorpost; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him forever. (Ex. 21:5‑6)
I will fasten Him as a nail in a sure place; and He shall be for a glorious throne. (Isa. 22:23)
When we see Thee as the Victim
   Nailed to the accursed tree,
For our guilt and folly stricken,
   All our judgment borne by Thee,
Lord, we own, with hearts adoring,
   Thou hast washed us in Thy blood:
Glory, glory everlasting,
   Be to Thee, Thou Lamb of God!

It is the Lord: let Him do what seemeth Him good. (1 Sam. 3:18)
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat … yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (Hab. 3:17‑18)
God is my strength and power; and He maketh my way perfect. (2 Sam. 22:33)
Though the fig tree shall not ripen,
   And no fruit be on the vine,
Though the shades of night be gathering,
   And the sun has ceased to shine,
Still in Christ, my blessed Savior,
   Joy may still my portion be,
For His love abideth ever
   Unto all eternity.

God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (Gen. 1:4)
God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Knowing that He which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. (2 Cor. 4:6,14)
I have seen the face of Jesus —
   Tell me not of aught beside;
I have heard the voice of Jesus —
   All my soul is satisfied;
In the radiance of the glory
   First I saw His blessed face,
And forever shall that glory
   Be my home, my dwelling-place.

In Him, it is ordained to raise
A temple to Jehovah’s praise,
Composed of all the saints, who own
No Savior but the “Living Stone.”
View the vast building, see it rise;
The work how great! the plan how
   wise!
Oh wondrous fabric! power unknown!
That rears it on the “Living Stone.”

We leave it to Himself
   To choose and to command;
With wonder filled, we soon shall see
   How wise, how strong His hand!
We comprehend Him not,
   Yet earth and heaven tell
God sits as sovereign on the throne

   His grace is sufficient for all;
He knows every step of the pathway,
   And listens to hear when we call.
The Savior can break sin’s dominion,
   The victory He won long ago;
In Him there is freedom from
      bondage;
   He’s able to conquer the foe.
