If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Even though we are Christians, we sometimes sin. When we do, we are to confess it to the Lord, own to Him that we did wrong, and He will forgive us. Notice that it doesn’t say that we are to ask forgiveness. He will forgive us when we confess. But more importantly, our broken communion with the Lord (broken because of our sinning) will be restored by our confession of sin. Let’s be sure to keep short accounts with God.
