Take heed, and beware of covetousness.

The Lord goes on to say that a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions, and yet how many of us try to get as many possessions as we can. But there’s not one thing of this world, no matter how beautiful it may be, that will be good enough for heaven. All those entering that place will receive a completely new set of clothes before going in. Everything of this life will be left behind. So, is it really worthwhile trying to accumulate something we can’t keep for eternity? Let’s devote more time and energy to being like the Lord. That’s worthwhile.
