Cowardice

Don’t be a coward. If you show the devil a bold front he will flee from you. The unconverted friends you fear are much more afraid of you than you are of them. Tell them boldly that you are Christ’s, and they will frighten you no more. It is astonishing how timid unconverted people are in the presence of a downright, hearty, earnest Christian.
If we, in dependence, pray, “O my God, I trust in Thee: let me not be ashamed.” He will enable us boldly to say, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation, to every one that believeth” (Psa. 25:22O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. (Psalm 25:2); Rom. 1:1616For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)).
