If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.1 – An inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.2 – Here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.3

This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.4 – Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.5 – Yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.6

We which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.7

When the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised them up a deliverer, Ehud, … a man lefthanded. … After him was Shamgar, … which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.1

God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.1 – As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.2

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.3 – The Father … hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.4

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.5 – Ye are the light of the world. Our Savior Jesus Christ … hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.1 – He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.2 – When this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.1 – Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
