Our Savior Jesus Christ … hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.1 – He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.2 – When this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.3
God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.4 – Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.5

The Lord is exalted; for he dwelleth on high.1 – The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. … He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; that he may set him with princes.2
God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.3
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? … For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.4

Blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.1 – Ye are the salt of the earth: … the light of the world.2 – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.3
I also withheld thee from sinning against me.4
The Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.5 – So did not I, because of the fear of God.6 – Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father.7 – Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.8

Eve … bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.1
Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven. … The Lord scattered them.2 – Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan.3 – It was well watered every where, … even as the garden of the Lord. … But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.4
I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit. For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.5 – I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards: … I gathered me also silver and gold. … Then I looked on all, … and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit.6
If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.7 – He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.8 – Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.9

The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.1 – We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.2 – I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing.3
Ye are washed, … ye are sanctified, … ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.4 – The king’s daughter is all glorious within.5 – Perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God.6
Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us.7
These are they which … have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.8 – A glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but … holy and without blemish.9 – Ye are complete in him.10

Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.1 – Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.2 – What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.3
If ye … being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?4 – I will put my spirit within you. … Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of.5
This is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.6

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.1 – Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord.2
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.3 – We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.4 – When that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. … For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.5 – Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.6

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory.1 – He hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.2
Unto you … which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner.3 – Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.4
I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.5 – Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee.6

If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.1 – If ye … being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?2 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.3 – Ye have not, because ye ask not.4
When … the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.5
They rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.6

She did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold. … Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and I will recover my wool and my flax.1
All things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. O Lord our God, all this store … cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.2 – Of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen.3
The living God … giveth us richly all things to enjoy.4 – Every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.5
My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.6
