My son, give me thine heart.1 – Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.2
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?3 – Mortify … your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.4 – They that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare. … For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things.5
If riches increase, set not your heart upon them.6 – My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.7
Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.8 – The Lord looketh on the heart.9

Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.1 – Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.2 – My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.3
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.4 – Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.5
Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?6 – Thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.7 – Ye are the temple of the living God.8

Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.1
I saw no temple: … for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.2
I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.3 – Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.4
Judah shall dwell forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the Lord dwelleth in Zion.5 – Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord.6 – There shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him.7

To be spiritually minded is life and peace.1
God hath called us to peace.2 – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.3 – The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.4
I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.5 – Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.6
The work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.7 – Whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.8
Great peace have they which love thy law.9

The Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering.1 – The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.2
Be ye … followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love.3 – The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.4 – This is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. … If, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. … Christ … suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: … who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.5
Be ye angry, and sin not.6

The God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.1
Hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.2 – If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.3 – Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.4 – Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.5

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus.1 – Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things.2 – When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe.3
The whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, … groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.4 – Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.5 – When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.6
Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.7

Thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. … Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.1
I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me. … It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. … Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.2 – The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.3 – He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. … He knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.4

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect.1 – Leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God.2 – The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.3
I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.4 – I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.5
Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion.6 – They rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty.7 – Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me.8 – Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.9 – Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.10

It is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.1 – He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.2
Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, … but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: … manifest in these last times for you, who by him do believe in God, … that your faith and hope might be in God.3
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.4
