I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.1 – Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.2

I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. When we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.1 – He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?2

We … rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also.1 – I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.2 – Believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.3
