24. Daniel Was a Man of Prayer

Daniel was a man of prayer,

Daily praying three times,

Till one day they cast him down

In the den of lions.

Even then in the den,

Fear could not alarm him,

God had shut the lions’ mouths,

So they could not harm him.

David was a brave young lad,

Goliath could not scare him,

Even though the giant had

Sword and shield to save him.

From the brook David took

Five smooth stones to aid him;

With his sling he then did bring

The giant down before him.
