A glimpse of God's tender love.
V. 6-8 A battlement is like a fence. We believers are to be careful that we don't teach or say to other believers things which are not according to God's Word. If so we are causing them to fall off the roof of our house.
V. 13-30 "Why would God inspire these words?" Well, turn to 1 Cor. 10:1111Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (1 Corinthians 10:11) and Rom. 15:44For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. (Romans 15:4) to be sure that He has inspired them. To teach us what our hearts are capable of, if left to ourselves. These are the moral depths to which a believer can plunge if we compromise with truth, 1 Cor.
